TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WANE) – The North took both games from the South on Friday night, winning 10-6 and 11-8 in the Indiana All-Star Classic at Bob Warn Field in Terre Haute.
Several standout from northeast Indiana led the way to a game one victory. Canterbury’s Matt Kent went 1-for-3 with two RBI, Heritage’s Branson Dossen went 1-for-4 win an RBI, while Garrett’s Dillin Diehm went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Diehm stayed hot in game two, going 2-for-2 with an RBI and run scored. Dossen went 1-for-1 in a reserve role, Kent went 1-for-5 with an RBI, while Whitko’s Zach Snep went 1-for-2.
Game two’s biggest local standout was Churubusco’s Devin Peters. Peters threw two innings of scoreless baseball, striking out four, to earn the win for the North.
New Haven’s Brayton Rudolph threw the final 1.2 innings for the North, striking out two to seal the win.
The North-South series wraps up with one wooden bat game tomorrow at 1 p.m.
