Two hospitalized following crash on W. Jefferson Blvd.

A car that collided with a truck on W. Jefferson on June 26, 2015 was turned on its side to help people get out.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Two people were hospitalized after the car they were in collided with a truck Friday afternoon, according to the Fort Wayne Police Department’s spokesperson.

Around 2 p.m., the truck was headed south on Wilkie Driver and collided with the car at the intersection of W. Jefferson Boulevard and S. Bend Drive, near a Jiffy Lube and Fist Federal Bank.

Fire crews were called to the scene to help the people in the car get out. One person was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The other person is OK.

Both people in the truck refused medical treatment.

At one point all the northbound lanes on W. Jefferson Boulevard near Covington Road were blocked.
