ROGERS, Ark. (WANE) – Multiple weather delays did not allow all golfers to complete their first round at the Walmart Northwest Arkansas Championship on Friday, and Bishop Luers grad Kristi O’Brien was among the golfers who headed to the clubhouse without a full first round score.
O’Brien completed 17 holes on Friday to end the day at +4. She has the par-4 ninth hole remaining.
O’Brien began her round on the back nine and struggled out of the gate. She bogeyed her first three holes before finding her grove later in the round, including birdies on holes 17, 1, and 5.
This is the second LPGA event that O’Brien has qualified for in her career. She played in the Kingsmill Championships in Williamburg, Virginia earlier this summer.
