VIDEO: Surveillance from Richard’s Bakery van arson

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The Fort Wayne Fire Department has reported that six vehicles were set on fire overnight Thursday, including a van at Richard’s Bakery. The van sits right under a surveillance camera that caught the incident on video.

The exclusive video clip above is from Richard’s Bakery, located at 1130 N. Wells Street.

After the fire started, the video shows someone walking by the bakery and then the two people leaving the parking lot. Moments later, a red car that carried a bakery employee and his friend, entered the parking lot.

They went into the store and brought out buckets of water to try to stop the fire before the Fort Wayne Fire Department arrived. That’s where the clip ends.

When firefighters were at the scene, they opened the van’s doors, and smoke billowed out.

Two people have been arrested, possibly the two seen walking away from the fire after the video previously showed them in the van.
