Firefighters clear factory fire scene

COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (WANE) –  The factory in Columbia City that caught on fire late Friday night re-ignited Sunday.

Firefighters were called back to C and R Plating around 4:15 p.m. Sunday. NewsChannel 15 was told five fire departments were on the scene. Dispatchers said the firefighters were clearing the scene at 7:15 p.m. It’s still not clear how or where the fire re-started in the factory.

After the fire broke out on Friday night, around 200 homes nearby were evacuated as a precaution.
