INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WANE) – Canterbury’s Darby Maggard made the starting line-up for the Indiana All-Star Series game in Indianpolis on Saturday. And the former Cavaliers star made it count. Maggard went 3-4 from three-point range, netting 13 points with four rebounds and three steals as the Indiana All-Star girls team crushed Kentucky 88-58 at Banker’s Life Fieldhouse.
Maggard finished second behind “Ms. Basketball” Ali Patberg in scoring. Patberg was named the most outstanding player for the girls series.
The boys team took the court after, and complete the sweep over Kentucky with a 88-78 win over the all-stars from the Bluegrass state. This is the seventh consecutive sweep for Indiana.
Josh Spiedal, the Columbus North senior injured in a car accident on Feburary 1st, took the court with his teammates for the start of the game. The Vermont commit was named an Indiana All-Star prior to February’s accident.
