Wanted sex offender captured in California

LODI, Calif. (WANE) A man wanted out of Steuben County, Indiana was apprehended by U.S. Marshalls in California Thursday.

Jack Edward Miller Jr., was wanted for failure to register as a sex or violent offender after changing addresses while living in Steuben County. A warrant was issued for his arrest on May 22, 2015. That’s when police said he fled Indiana.

Investigators with the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department and US Marshals located Miller in California and he was taken into custody.

He was also wanted for not appearing in court, for violating his parole and an unrelated misdemeanor charge.
