Driver’s BAC more than 0.2 percent following crash

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) An intoxicated driver faces several charges after being involved in a crash with a friend’s child as a passenger. A blood alcohol content test showed the driver had a BAC of 0.21 percent.

According to an affidavit for probable cause, Elizabeth S. Watson, 48, rear ended another vehicle around 6 p.m. on June 1. The affidavit didn’t state where exactly the crash happened.

Watson faces the following charges:

  • Neglect of a dependent
  • Operating a vehicle while intoxicated
  • Operating a vehicle with .15 or more alcohol concentration
  • Operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a previous conviction

The report noted one person from the other vehicle was injured in the crash.

The age of the child was not available.
