Police: Students sustain minor injuries when buses crash

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Police say eight students were taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a school bus in Indianapolis rear-ended another school bus.

WISH-TV reports the collision involving two Pike Township school buses occurred about 4:15 p.m. Friday in northwest Indianapolis. Twenty-four other students were examined and released to either parents or to other buses for transportation.

Neither bus driver was hurt. The rear bus sustained a broken windshield.
