T.J. Weir Talks TinCaps Live With WANE-TV

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Kokomo native and former Ball State standout T.J. Weir talked live with WANE-TV sports director Glenn Marini before the TinCaps series opener on Friday night against West Michigan.

Weir discussed playing close to home, the team’s recent hot streak, and his adjustments to professional baseball.

Weir was a 17th round pick by the Padres out of BSU in last summer’s draft. A Mid-American Conference all-academic selection, Weir graduated from Ball State with a degree in finance.

Weir is 2-2 this season with a 5.93 ERA. He’s appeared in 12 games this season with three starts. Weir has tallied 34 strikeouts in 30.1 innings of work.
