INDIANAPOLIS (WANE) Nearly 150 minors were arrested or cited for having alcohol over the weekend of the 99th running of the Indianapolis 500.
Indiana State Excise police arrested or cited 141 minors, 28 adults, and seven juveniles over Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Summonses were issued to minors for possession or consumption of an alcoholic beverage. Other charges included false identifications, resisting law enforcement, giving alcohol to minors, selling alcohol without a permit and various drug related charges.
In 2014, during the weekend of the Indy 500, officers arrested 211 people on a total of 250 charges.
