SHAWNEE, Okla. (AP) — An Oklahoma man who admitted to strangling his stepfather by giving him a wedgie has told a judge the case is “like a bad dream.”
The Oklahoman (http://bit.ly/1K8hGCi ) reports 34-year-old Brad Davis of McLoud pleaded guilty Monday to first-degree manslaughter in the 2013 death of 58-year-old Denver St. Clair.
A doctor who did the autopsy report says St. Clair died when the elastic band of his torn underwear was pulled over his head and pressed against his neck, cutting off his airway.
Davis described the fight Wednesday at a hearing intended to help a judge decide what his sentence will be. His sentence hearing is set for July 16.
Davis said he knocked St. Clair unconscious before giving him the wedgie. He said he didn’t intend to kill St. Clair.
