INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indiana Gov. Mike Pence has ordered flags fly at half-staff in honor of fallen officers.

Pence’s office says flags at state facilities statewide will be flown at half-staff on Friday in honor of Peace Officers Memorial Day. It is meant to honor federal, state and local officers killed or disabled in the line of duty.

The governor also asks private businesses and residents to lower their flags to honor the officers.
