World’s largest cement conveyor pouring concrete at the Coliseum

The cement conveyor truck being used for the Coliseum Conference Center expansion has been deemed the largest in the world.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A cement conveyor truck that’s been called the largest of its type in the world poured concrete Thursday morning as part of the on-going expansion of the Coliseum Conference Center.

Weigand Construction, the contractor for the project, is using the conveyor to pour cement in a 12,000 square foot portion of the expansion.

The Conference Center at the Memorial Coliseum will open in January of 2016, providing an additional 27,000 square feet of multi-purpose event space and nearly 20,000 square feet of new or renovated pre-function lobby space.
