FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A local credit union is offering free shredding service Friday for anyone who has unwanted papers and credit cards that need to be destroyed.
Three Rivers Federal Credit Union will have a mobile shredder at 1615 Northland Ave, off of Lima Road across from Crazy Pinz. Anyone can bring their items to be shredded safely from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Three Rivers promotes shredding items as a way to dispose of personal and financial information and help prevent identity theft.
All documents are shredded and recycled on site.
There are two more Community Shred Days scheduled this year. One is on Saturday, Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to noon and the second one is Friday, Oct. 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
