FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – For the second season in a row the Mad Ants have advanced to the NBA Development League’s Eastern Conference finals.
The Ants play the Canton Charge in the best-of-three series, with the winner advancing to face the Western Conference champion for the D-League Championship. Canton beat Sioux Falls 105-95 in game three of their first round series on Tuesday night to advance.
Fort Wayne, the defending D-League champion, swept Maine in the first round of the playoff, clinching the first round victory with a win at Maine on Saturday.
Canton and Fort Wayne met three times during the regular season, with Canton win two of the three meetings. The Ants won 104-85 at Canton on December 6. The Charge won at home against the Ants 88-79 February 27 then beat Fort Wayne at the Coliseum 97-94 on March 7.
Game one is set for 7 p.m. Thursday night at War Memorial Coliseum.
