TOTW: Bishop Dwenger Rifle Team

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The 2015 Bishop Dwenger rifle team took home three state titles at the 2015 Indiana State Rifle and Pistol Association championship in March . The Saints placed first in .22 Rifle, International Air, and Three Position Precision Air, and came in third place in Sporter Air. We are proud to honor the Dwenger rifle team as our Orthopedic Hospital of Lutheran Health Network Team of the Week.

Individually, Junior Luke Massie came in first place out of 200 participants in the .22 Rile, International Air, and Three Position Precision Air. He along with Jared Rice, Lauryn Cinadr, Daniel Shanebrook and John Yarde will be competing in the Junior Air Rifle Nationals at the Army Marksmanship Unit in Fort Benning, Georgia.

Five Dwenger shooters were also invited to the Junior Olympics at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs in April: Massie, Rice, Shanebrook, Yarde, and Olivia O’Conner.
