FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Two people were arrested during a routine traffic stop early in April who now face several charges including lying to a police officer and possessing narcotics.

The driver of the vehicle, Alexandra Brown, faces several charges including possession of paraphernalia, false informing, driving while suspended and expired plates.

Her passenger, Donald Bowers, faces charges of possession of cocaine and possession of a narcotic drug.

According to an affidavit for probable cause, an officer pulled the vehicle over for expired license plates on April 7, 2015. When the officer asked the driver for her registration and proof of insurance, she could not provide it. She also gave the officer a fake name.

Court documents indicate the passenger, Bowers, was not wearing a seat belt and was visibly shaking. The officer searched Bowers and found cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin.

During an interview at the police department, Bowers said he was high on cocaine.
