Urban League hosts ball to fund scholarships

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Fort Wayne Urban League Guild is hosting a Masquerade Ball to raise money for scholarships. The Guild is an affiliate of the Urban League that puts on an annual gala and other fundraising events.

The scholarships will go to young people in the community who have a GPA of 2.5 or above, are enrolled in college and need financial aid. The organization has given away three scholarships so far to young women pursuing their dream of getting a college degree.

At the Masquerade Ball, guests will enjoy a cash bar, live music and a dinner. The black tie event will be from 6:30 p.m.-1:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 25 at Link’s Wonderland. Tickets cost $40 for a single ticket or $75 for a couple. They can be purchased at the Urban League on S. Hanna Street.
