Komets Goalie Nagle Signs PTO With AHL’s Rochester Americans

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Rochester Americans announced today that the team has signed goaltender Pat Nagle to a professional tryout contract (PTO). In addition, the Amerks have released goaltender Sam Marotta and defenseman Matt Pelech from their PTO contracts while defenseman Curtis Leonard was released from his amateur tryout (ATO).

Nagle, 27, has appeared in 32 ECHL games this season with the Fort Wayne Komets, posting a record of 23-6-1-1 with a 2.36 goals-against average, a .911 save percentage and one shutout. He has also appeared in four American Hockey League games this season with Rochester, Grand Rapids and Utica, going 1-2-0 with a 2.15 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage.

In 145 career ECHL games with Florida, Idaho and Fort Wayne, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound native of Bloomfield, Michigan, has posted a 80-43-3-9 record with a 2.74 goals-against average, a .901 save percentage and three shutouts. He also appeared in two AHL games with Syracuse during the 2012-13 season.
