FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) A day filled with beer and bourbon sounds pretty good, right? And when bacon themed dishes made by Fort Wayne resultants are added, it’s the making of a special festival.
It’s the second year for the Beer, Bourbon and Bacon Festival hosted at the Botanical Conservatory in downtown Fort Wayne.
Only 1,000 tickets were available for the festival. This year Adam’s Radio group also added VIP tickets.
“It gives the public something more than just a beer fest…. It’s something to do to get us out from the cabin fever from the weather we just had,” Kathy Price, event manager for Adam’s Radio Group said. “Because who doesn’t love beer, bourbon and bacon?”
The Beer, Bourbon and Bacon Festival featured 65 different types of beer from 25 breweries including Mad Anthony, Bell’s, Flat 12, Three Floyds, Dogfish Head and Goose Island. There were also limited samples of Indiana and Kentucky bourbons.
To top it all off, six Fort Wayne restaurants featured bacon-themed snacks for people in attendance.
