AWS commemorates 25 years since Americans with Disabilities Act

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the AWS Foundation has launched a campaign to celebrate the anniversary.

The act was signed into law in 1990 by President George H.W. Bush.

AWS’ campaign will center on a series of videos and public service announcements depicting ten stories of northeast Indiana residents whose lives have been positively impacted by the ADA.

Lynne Gilmore, Executive Director of the AWS Foundation joined NewsChannel 15’s Gina Glaros and Meteorologist Rob Lydick to talk about the commemoration.
