Police: Robber threatened pharmacist’s life

Police are hoping the public will help identify a man who robbed the pharmacy at the Kroger on West State Boulevard.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Police are asking the public for help finding a man who robbed the pharmacy at the Kroger on West State Boulevard on March 4.

According to a police report, the suspect went into the store around 8:40 p.m., gave the cashier a note, and told her to give it to the pharmacist. She did, and the pharmacist initially had trouble reading it. He told police once he figured out what it said, the suspect began yelling and screaming, telling him to hurry up and that he was going to kill him.

The pharmacist filled a bag full of bottles of medications and gave them to the suspect, who’s described as being six feet tall, wearing a camouflage coat with a hood, and a black bandana with some type of white design on the front. He was also wearing leather gloves.

Anyone who knows anything about the robbery or can identify the suspect on the surveillance footage, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 436-STOP (436-7867).
