FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE)  A teen is still in critical condition after a Tuesday evening shooting in the 2900 block of Bowser Avenue. That’s on Fort Wayne’s southeast side.

Multiple people called police around 5:30 p.m. after hearing numerous gunshots in the area. Officers found 19-year-old Charley Allen Jr. on a porch when they arrived at the scene. Multiple shell casings littered the crime scene, but investigators still don’t know if there was more than one shooter or if the victim tried to return fire.

Several witnesses in the area said the victim was hit in the head.

Police are looking for a gold Chevy Impala that left the scene just moments after the shooting. Local schools were temporarily locked down but the lockdowns were lifted once the scene was deemed to be safe.

Investigators don’t know whether there’s a connection between this incident and the shooting on Oliver Street that happened this past Sunday.

If you have any information that may help the investigation, or know the whereabouts of that gold Impala, call Crime Stoppers at 436-STOP (436-7867).
