FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Carroll basketball team is hoping the third time is indeed a charm, as the Chargers will face NHC rival Homestead for the third time this season on Saturday after falling to the Spartans twice during the regular season.
Saturday’s game is the first of two regional semifinal games at Marion High School, with the NHC rivals tipping off at 10 a.m. followed by Carmel vs. McCutcheon. The winners will meet Saturday night at 8 p.m. in the regional title game.
Carroll lost a road game 46-34 at Homestead December 19 then fell to the Spartans 48-39 at Charger Fieldhouse in the title game of the Holiday Hoops Classic on January 3.
Carroll comes in with a 21-3 record overall, the Chargers’ only loss not to Homestead coming at Warsaw in overtime on February 27. Carroll has won 14 of its last 15.
