Fort Wayne, Ind. (WANE) – Fort Wayne area resident Erika Monroe was at the center of an Indiana cold case involving rape. When she was 10 years old a stranger took her from her home in Elkhart County Indiana and sexually assaulted her. With the help of DNA evidence Erika’s assailant Robert Quinn was brought to justice 27 years later.
Erika talked to News Channel 15’s Terra Brantley in an exclusive interview that aired Saturday, March 7 on WANE-TV. She granted the interview in hopes of helping other victims of violence. A number of agencies throughout Northeast Indiana help sexual assault and abuse victims. This story provides links and information to six of those agencies.
