BLUFFTON, Ind. (WANE) – Bluffton residents on the far-north side of town will be under a Boil Water Advisory until at least Saturday after a water main pipe broke early Thursday morning.

The Bluffton Water Department said residents north of Dustman Road will need to boil their water until at least Saturday morning, which is when the department will get the results of its second water test. In order for a Boil Water Advisory to be lifted there have to be two good water tests.

The department said a break was discovered in a 12-inch water main around 1:45 a.m. The water main was repaid around 7 a.m.

The water main break forced a 2-hour delay for Northern Wells Community Schools. However, Bluffton-Harrison MSD was not affected and operating on a normal schedule.
