FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A northwest Fort Wayne home was damaged by fire early Wednesday morning.
Firefighters were called to 10615 Cherry Creek Road in the Seven Oaks subdivision around 12:30 a.m.
The first arriving crews found smoke and flames shooting from second-story windows. Firefighters attacked the flames from inside the house.
Fire officials said two adults and four children made it out safely.
It took crews 13 minutes to get the fire under control.
The home sustained moderate smoke, fire and water damage, according to a department report.
FWFD Batallion Chief Bill Endorf said one firefighter was treated at the scene for a minor injury.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
