Carroll Tops Leo 6-1 To Clinch Memorial Cup Title

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Carroll bested Leo 6-1 on Wednesday night to win the city championship and improve to 22-0 on the season in Fort Wayne High School Hockey Association games.

Nick Ramsey and Adam Stoody each scored two goals to lead Carroll while Brandon Bornkamp and Kyle Cota each tallied one.

Trevor Hawkes stopped 21 shots in goal for the Chargers.

Leo’s lone goal came from Preston Ray, while Chandler Reinking made 47 saves.

Next up for both teams is the state tournament. Carroll and Leo both play in Fishers this weekend while Homestead, Summit City, FW Bruins, and Bishop Dwenger all stay in Fort Wayne to play at Canlan.
