PetSmart finds dozens of dogs homes

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Three Fort Wayne PetSmarts were able to help find more than 40 dogs homes for PetSmart Charities National Adoption Weekend.

The Allen County SPCA and volunteers with the Steuben County Humane Society brought several dogs to area PetSmarts for adoption. On Saturday, Allen County SPCA was able to have all of their dogs adopted. Weather on Saturday made it hard for Steuben County volunteers to travel, however on Saturday they were able to bring plenty of four legged friends to the stores.

On Saturday, the Allen County SPCA tweeted a picture of people standing in line waiting to adopt their new pet.

The following locations were open Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.:

PetSmart Charities was established in 1994. It’s an independent nonprofit organization, which creates and supports programs that save lives of homeless pets.
