Expo highlights local baby, family services

This is the 27th year for the Baby Fair and Family Expo

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The WMEE Baby Fair and Family Expo was back for the 27th year Saturday. The event was from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.

The event featured informative sessions from organizations including the McMillen Center for Health Education and Lutheran Health Network Birthplaces.

Adorable babies competed in the premiere event: The Diaper Dash. The fastest crawler won free diapers for a year.

The event featured plenty of areas for kids to play while families learned about new products and services to help people in the area.

“It’s a way for the family to come together and find out maybe about products or services in our community that they might not have been aware were available to them,” WMEE morning host Nichole Roberts said.

Additional attractions included a play area, face painting, cookies and canvas along with free portrait sittings with a photographer.

The event was free, however, people did have to pay for parking.
