FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – If you have the wintertime blues, there’s an event in Fort Wayne that will have you thinking of summer: For the 55th year, RV dealers and camping destination representatives will be gathering at the Memorial Coliseum for the Fort Wayne RV and Camping Show. Over 160 RVs will be on display, spread out over 100,000 square feet of space – and each one is for sale.
From toy-haulers, bumper-pulls, and fifth-wheels to motor homes and Class A Diesel-Pushers, there’s a good variety of different sizes, colors, and floorplans to fit every interest and budget. With features like big screen TVs, built-in WiFi, granite countertops, stone backsplashes, fireplaces, and central air, some of these may even be nicer than your actual home! Whether you’re a first-timer or a veteran RV’er, there’s something for everyone.
What’s new this year is a lot of medium-sized and smaller-sized units that are built lighter,” says Matt Rose, Show Promoter. “They can be pulled by more vehicles that people already own. With gas prices being like they are too, with a lighter unit, it makes RVing more economical than ever. A recent study shows that a family of four can save up to 60-percent on their family vacation by traveling in an RV.”
Admission is $6 for adults, $4 for seniors, $2 for kids ages 5-12, and $14 for a family pass.
Thursday, January 29 – Saturday, January 31: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
