SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (AP) — Authorities are searching for a teenage murder suspect who escaped from custody while being treated at a western Ohio hospital.

The Clark County sheriff’s office says 17-year-old Raymond Matthew Zimmerman was seen running away from the Springfield Regional Medical Center on Friday night wearing orange jail jumpsuit and no shoes. Sheriff’s officials say he has an injury to his lip, along with tattoos on his right upper arm that say “California” and “Ohio” and praying hands on his left upper arm.

Zimmerman and an 18-year-old were arrested last week in the shooting death of William Henson, who is Zimmerman’s uncle, according to a sheriff’s report. Deputies found Henson’s body last week in his home, which they said was robbed of guns.

Authorities say Zimmerman is considered dangerous, and people should call police immediately if they see him.
