IPFW police looking into late-night assault and robbery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – University police at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) are looking into a late-night assault and robbery that happened in a student housing parking lot.

According to the release from IPFW, a male student met a female acquaintance at about 11:15 p.m. in the parking lot of Waterfield Campus, the student housing complex across from IPFW off of Crescent Avenue. The male student got into her car, at which point another man entered the car with a handgun. The male student was assaulted, robbed of his cell phone and forced out of the car.

The two suspects then look off in the car, which was described to IPFW police as a small purple 4-door vehicle.
