Motorcyclists bear cold for ‘Polar Bikers Ride’

More than 100 bikers kicked off the new year with a chilly bike ride to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Motorcyclists welcomed the cold Thursday for the 19th annual Polar Bikers Ride. The ride raised money for The Wounded Warrior Project, which raises awareness and helps fund programs to help injured service members.

There were 127 bikes with 152 riders that met at the Ehlerding’s River City Harley-Davidson off of U.S. 930 between Fort Wayne and New Haven. After the group went on a ride, which was about 20 miles, they warmed up with chili, cornbread and hot drinks.

The group raised $483 for the Wounded Warrior Project.
