FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – There are several places where you can ring in the New Year in Fort Wayne, including one of the city’s most historic buildings. The Philmore on Broadway is hosting a VIP New Year’s Eve Wednesday from 9 p.m.-3 a.m.
Organizers said the party is “the closest you will come to Hollywood or Las Vegas in Fort Wayne.”
When you arrive, you’ll get the chance to walk the red carpet complete with photographers to capture the moment. There will be a live band, a comedian, and party favors. There will also be a champagne toast at midnight. After that, a DJ will take over until 3 a.m.
“It’s extremely important for the city, economically, that the younger generations, the millenials, do stay in Fort Wayne for New Years. A lot of our friends, a lot of the people we know, already had plans for Indianapolis or Chicago like most people had in the past. They all changed their plans to come here, which is great. It’s great for Fort Wayne. More events like this are starting pop up here in the area, and we’re just excited to be a part of it,” event organizer Andrew Lamping said.
There are still VIP tickets available for $100. That includes hors d’ouevres and an open bar from 9p.m. to midnight. Click here for a link to buy tickets.
