Komets top Fuel in annual New Year’s Eve game

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Two goals in the first three minutes sparked the Komets attack Wednesday night, and boosted the team to a 6-3 win over the Indy Fuel.

The Komets found the back of the net two times in each period.

The team’s first goal came at the 1:53 mark with Erie Fallie found the stick of Mike Embach for this 11th of the season.

It was a 2-0 game just 66 seconds later when Garrett Meurs put a rebound in. The initial shot was taken by defenseman Matt Krug.
