FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – For a second straight season, a Jujuan Starks basket secured North Side’s SAC tournament crown. Starks scored off a Sean McGee miss to lift the Redskins, 45-44 Saturday night.

North Side Head Coach Shabaz Khaliq said after the game the final play looked like deja vu.

The Redskins held the lead for nearly the entire game. Snider had led 2-0, and did not lead until there were approximately two minutes left in the game.

The Panthers were up 44-40 in the final minutes, before North Side came back.

McGee had hit a three-pointer to bring his team back within one. Then his attempt at a game-winner was short, which Starks recovered and put up and in for the win.

North Side has now won the SAC tournament in each of the last two years. The Redskins are also the two-time defending SAC regular season champion.

Snider has fallen victim to North Side in the last two conference tournaments, and has lost five games in the last two years.
