Police force welcomes new K-9s

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) The Fort Wayne Police Department has two new four legged friends to help crime fighting efforts.

At a Thursday afternoon ceremony, Temp and Coris were commissioned into active duty. Tempo is assigned to Officer Bradley Griffin and Coris has been assigned to Officer Dustin Engelman.

Tempo is a utility dog that will be used to track, search and sniff out narcotics. Coris is also a utility dog and is in the process of being certified in the detection of explosives.
