INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indianapolis Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 86 came together to spread Christmas cheer to local kids on Saturday morning.

The annual Shop with a Cop unites local police agencies to take children in need to shop for winter clothing, a special toy and to visit with Santa.

This year’s theme was “Paying It Forward – Taking it to the Next Level.” Police officers mentored children on the value of paying it forward.

Each child and officer brought a canned food item to support the David S. Moore food pantry in honor of IMPD Officer Perry Renn who was killed in the line of duty this year. Children will also assemble holiday food baskets for seniors.
