FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Fort Wayne police and emergency personnel were busy working three accidents that took place within blocks of each other Wednesday morning.
The first took place at the intersection of State Boulevard and Reed Road at around 6:45 am. According to police, a car heading east on State turned north onto Reed and collided with a car that was headed west on State. Two adults and one child were seriously injured. The intersection was closed for about an hour while crews cleaned up the scene.
About 45 minutes later, a Snider High School student turned into the path of another car at the intersection of Reed and Fairlawn. The teen was not injured, however, the driver of the other car suffered minor injuries. That intersection was closed for about 30 minutes.
A third accident also took place at Lake and Reed when a driver hit a pole at about the same time the first accident took place.
