FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Fort Wayne police were called to the McDonald’s on East Rudisill late Tuesday afternoon and when officers arrived, they found not one, but two men dressed in Santa suits next to the front door. However, the store manager told them only one Santa had been permitted to be there and the other one was causing problems for patrons because both were attempting to get children to sit in their laps.
According to a police report, one of the officers told the unwanted Santa that the manager didn’t want his services. When the officer asked the man for his real name, he replied, “Santa Claus.” The officer then asked the Santa to step outside and he again asked for his real name and got the same response.
The officer informed the Santa that he was required to give his real name or face false informing charges and that he was banned from the restaurant. After a brief argument, the Santa agreed to leave.
