DECATUR, Ind. (WANE) – The longest running high school basketball tournament in Indiana has its schedule outlined. Boys and girls coaches from the eight conference schools met at the Back 40 Junction to hold the draw Wednesday afternoon.
The first round of the tournament begins Tuesday, January 13.
Heritage makes a trip to Woodlan.
Leo travels to South Adams.
Adams Central will host Bluffton.
Jay County, who is new to the conference and replaced Garrett, will go to Southern Wells.
The schedule is the same for both the boys and girls. The boys games begin at 6 p.m., with the girls set to follow at approximately 7:30.
In years past, the semi-finals and finals were held at the Coliseum, but conference officials announced they would not return there back in April.
The finals will take place Saturday, January 17 at South Adams. The boys game will tip-off at 6 p.m., with the girls game beginning at roughly 7:30.
Woodlan won the boys tournament last season. Garrett, who is now a member of the NECC, won the girls tournament.
The upcoming tournament is the 92nd year for the boys and the 41st year for the girls.
