Three people injured in Noble County crash

NOBLE COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) A pickup truck slammed into the back of a car that was stopped to make a left turn, causing it to hit another car on US 6 near County Road 150 East early Monday evening in Noble County according to a sheriff’s officer.

The accident took place at about 6:47 pm. The pickup truck driver, Jeffrey L. Carter, 50, of Kendallville told the officer he had looked down for something and by the time he looked back up he couldn’t avoid hitting the car waiting to make a left turn. That car, driven by Dennis Q. Kaczmarek, 61, of Goshen, was pushed into the path of the third car, driven by Kasey N. Collins, 29, of Wolcottville.

All three were taken to a Noble County hospital to be treated for their injuries.

The press release issued by the Noble County Sheriff’s Department did not indicate whether any charges are pending.
