TOTW: East Noble Boys Basketball

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – After a couple of down seasons, things are starting to look up again for basketball fans in Kendallville. The Knights have started the winter with a 2-0 record, and for that East Noble boys basketball squad is the FWO Team of the Week.

The Knights have wins over county rival West Noble, which was a 68-65 win to start the year, and Lakeland. The Knights beat the Lakers Saturday, 65-56, behind Chase Klinker’s 19 points.

Klinker is averaging 18 points per game this season.

The season is the second for East Noble coach Chad Cripe, who is tasked with turning around the Knights’ program that had a combined three wins over the last two seasons. That included Cripe’s rookie year at coach, where the Knights were just 1-22.

Cripe’s roster this year is made up of zero seniors and five juniors.

East Noble will look for win number three when the Knights host Garrett Friday, December 5.
