Indiana glass company to add 80 jobs

Ind. (WANE) An Indiana company that makes automotive glass plans to add 80 jobs at two manufacturing facilities. Carlex Glass of Indiana Inc. is holding two hiring events in December in Ligonier and Auburn to fill those positions.

On December 3 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Ligonier, Carlex is holding one of the hiring events. The plant, located at 860 West U.S. 6, is hiring 50 employees, including production operators, quality technicians and maintenance workers. The Auburn plant, located at 1900 Center St., is looking to hire 30 employees with a December 8 event from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Wages start at $12.50 an hour for production operators, $12.50 to $13 an hour for quality technicians and $16 to $17 an hour for maintenance workers. All jobs are full time and include shift premiums, medical and dental insurance and a 401(k) plan with matching contribution and tuition reimbursement.

Positions require at least a high should degree or equivalent. People must pass a drug test and criminal background check. Candidates should bring a resume and dress appropriately, including long pants and closed-toe shoes.
