Colts Cornerback Davis Has Concussion, Will Go Through NFL’s Protocol

INDIANAPOLIS (WANE) – Cornerback Vontae Davis – perhaps the Colts’ best defensive player – could miss this Sunday’s game against the Browns after suffering a concussion against the Redskins.

Colts coach Chuck Pagano confirmed the diagnosis of a concussion during Monday’s press conference, adding Davis will go through the NFL’s concussion protocol this week.

Davis suffered the injury in the third quarter against the Redskins while attempting to tackle running back Rey Helu.

Fellow Colts cornerback Greg Toler recently missed the Jacksonville game after being diagnosed with a concussion the game before.
