MUNCIE, Ind. – Jahwan Edwards, a senior running back on the Ball State football team, has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Cardinals’ game at Bowling Green.
Edwards rushed for a season high 165 yards and two touchdowns in his final career game to help Ball State to a 41-24 victory at MAC East Division Champion Bowling Green.
It marked Edwards’ sixth 100-yard game this season and the 18th of his career. Edwards finished his career fifth in MAC history in rushing yards (4,558) and rushing touchdowns (51) and sixth in league history in rushing attempts (884), while finishing his career as Ball State’s all-time leader in all those categories.
The Cardinals ended the 2014 season with a 5-7 overall record and a 4-4 mark in the MAC after winning their final two games and four of the final six in 2014.
