Surveillance video captures liquor store robbery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Fort Wayne police hope someone recognizes the man seen on surveillance video robbing a liquor store on Monday. The robbery took place at about 8:10 pm at the Cap n’ Cork located at 1425 N. Coliseum Boulevard.

A store employee told police that the robber walked up to the register and pulled the slide back on an automatic pistol. The robber then told the employee he had five seconds to give him money or he would kill him. When the employee couldn’t get the register drawer open and had to go to a different one, the robber became upset and made more threats. The employee was able to get the drawer open and the video clearly shows the money being handed over.

The suspect is described as being in his late 20’s to early 30’s, about 5′ 9″ tall with a small black moustache. He was wearing a black down jacket, a black knit hat, blue jeans and beige work boots.
