Komets End Six-Game Road Swing With 6-3 Loss At Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio (WANE) – The Komets ended their six-game road stretch with a 6-3 loss to Toledo on Wednesday afternoon.
The game, which started at 10:30 a.m., featured three Toledo goals in the first 15:04 of the first period. However, the Komets fought back, scoring three goals in the final 2:03 of the first period to knot the game at 3-3. Christian Ouellet (2nd goal of the season), Mitchell Heard (10th), and Paul Crowder (4th) all found the net for the Komets.
Toledo’s Anthony Luciani would tally the go-ahead goal for Toledo in the second period, with the Walleye adding two tallies in the third frame en route to the 6-3 final.
Komets goaltender Pat Nagle stopped 24-of-30 shots on the game. Toledo scored on two of three power plays for the game.
The Komets will be back home Friday night when they host Kalamazoo at 8 p.m.
